Laparoscopic Ovariopexy, oopheropexy or ovarian transposition is a minimal invasive procedure performed in patients with recurrent ovarian torsion, endometriosis or cancer to save the ovary from radiation therapy.Dr. Surakshith Battina , M.D. performs a modified technique of ovariopexy for an enlarged ovary (with edema) .This technique ensures that the ovary does not undergo recurrent torsion and saves the tube from being hitched in between the round ligament and ovary.
